Balvac has been awarded a contract for the third phase of work on the Leeds inner city ring road.
Structural Repair…
This latest phase consists of the repair of seven sections of retaining walls forming the A58 (M) between Woodhouse Lane and Clay Pit Lane.
Work will include:
- Hydrodemolition
- Concrete Repairs
- The Application of a Sprayed Concrete Overlay
- Fitting of Pedestrian Handrails
- Traffic Management
All work will be undertaken during evening, night and weekend shifts in accordance with the clients’ requirements, in order to minimise disruption to the travelling public.
Repeat Business…
Balvac has completed previous phases of work on the Inner Ring Road and has a sound knowledge of the road systems. Most recently, in 2005, Balvac successfully completed a contract for Leeds City Council to repair and protect the retaining walls on the on the approach to the tunnel beneath the Woodhouse Lane Multi-Storey car park. This next phase of work will continue the good relationship we have built with the client.
Balvac began on site in early March and work is scheduled to continue for approximately 7 weeks. We wish the team well as work progresses.
