History
The company was first registered in 1933 as Whitley Moran Ltd, operating in Merseyside undertaking sprayed concrete and grouting works. Whitley Moran grew and developed into a larger company and embraced a wider range of specialist techniques for the repair and refurbishment of buildings and structures.
In 1967, the company was acquired by the Balfour Beatty Group, and continued to grow. In 1986, Whitley Moran was merged with another Balfour Beatty company called Balvac Specialist Services, to form Balvac Whitley Moran Ltd, which brought vacuum-injection and void grouting skills into a broad specialist organisation.
In recent years, the company has consolidated and is more focussed on specialist operations and projects as a Principal Contractor in an emerging modern construction industry. The company is now registered as Balvac Ltd, and is a highly successful business within Balfour Beatty Civil Engineering Ltd's Regional Civil Engineering Division.
